The source attestation is the Otoshi-no-Kami genealogical passage in Kojiki (712 CE) Upper Volume, where the name appears among the ten children of Otoshi-no-Kami by Amechikarumizuhime, alongside Niwatsuhi-no-Kami, Niwatakatsuhi-no-Kami, Asuwa-no-Kami and others.
