The source attestation is the oath passage, the pacification of Ashihara-no-Nakatsukuni, and the descent of the heavenly grandson in Kojiki (712 CE) Upper Volume. He is the long-form name of Ame-no-Oshihomimi-no-Mikoto, the first of the five male deities born from the necklace of Amaterasu-Omikami during the oath with Susanoo.
