He is the long-form name of Ame-no-Oshihomimi-no-Mikoto, the first of the five male deities born from the necklace of Amaterasu-Omikami during the oath with Susanoo. He is named to descend to pacify the land but delegates the descent to his son Ninigi-no-Mikoto in the next generation. The database preserves the name with its scene references.
