The source attestation is the Jimmu eastern campaign passage on Takakuraji of Kumano in Kojiki (712 CE) Middle Volume, where the sacred sword brought to Emperor Jimmu by Takakuraji is named "Saji-Futsu-no-Kami, also called Mika-Futsu-no-Kami, also called Futsu-no-Mitama."
