Description
Tahirikishimarumi-no-Kami appears in the Okuninushi genealogical passage of Kojiki (712 CE) Upper Volume as a fifth-generation descendant of Okuninushi-no-Kami. He is recorded as the child of Mikanushihiko-no-Kami and Hinarashibime, and he takes Ikutamasakitamahime-no-Kami to wife, by whom he begets Mironami-no-Kami. No further narrative is preserved; he stands as a linking deity within the seventeen-generation Izumo line that runs Okuninushi to Torinarumi-no-Kami to Kunioshitomi-no-Kami to Ashinadaka-no-Kami to Hayamikanotakesahayajinumi-no-Kami to Mikanushihiko-no-Kami to Tahirikishimarumi-no-Kami. He is principally enshrined at Tahika Jinja in Komono, Mie, marking a node of the Okuninushi line outside the main Izumo center.
